WHAT IS SIMPLE RACER?
Simple Racer is a 2D open-wheel racing game seen from above, in the spirit of the classic top-down racers - easy to pick up in a minute, hard to master over hundreds of laps. You drive a single-seater race car with the keyboard: brake late, hit the apex, use the slipstream and DRS on the straights, and keep it off the grass. Every car has real grip, braking and tyre wear, so the fastest line through a corner is something you learn, not something the game does for you.
It is built for quick online races with friends or strangers. Make a room, share it, and race - or join the always-open official room, where a new session on a random circuit starts every few minutes.
GAME MODES
MULTIPLAYER ROOMS
Race other players online in rooms of up to 22 cars - a full grid. The host picks the circuit, laps, weather and qualifying, and can fill empty places with AI drivers (easy, normal or hard).
TIME TRIAL
Hot laps alone on track against the clock. Every lap is checked by our server before it counts, so the world records on each circuit are real.
QUALIFYING
Before a race, set your best lap in a timed qualifying session - your time decides where you start on the grid.
SPECTATE
Watch a race that is already running and jump in to drive from the next session - or step out to watch whenever you like.
FEATURES
- 26 circuits around the world - fast street tracks, flowing parkland circuits and a night race under the lights.
- Weather and tyres - hot, mild, cold or rain; soft, medium, hard and wet tyres that wear as you drive. A wet track changes everything.
- Real race rules - pit lane speed limit, track limits with warnings and time penalties, DRS zones and the slipstream.
- Your driver - a free profile with your name, race number, country flag and your own face.
- Smooth on any computer - light and fast, it runs at a high frame rate even on older laptops.
- Free and fair - no ads, no pay-to-win, no tracking. Everyone drives the same car.

The browser game is played with a keyboard on a computer. Versions for Google Play, the App Store and Steam are coming soon.
