TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: 6 November 2026
In short: Simple Racer is free to play. Race fair, be decent in the chat, keep your password to yourself. If you cheat or abuse other players, we can remove you from the game. The game is offered as it is, and it can change.
WHO WE ARE
Simple Racer (simpleracer.io, and its apps for phones and computers) is made by Virtus Et Honos, the studio name of Boris Sobat, an independent developer in Novi Sad, Serbia ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].
By playing Simple Racer you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't play. How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy.
WHO CAN PLAY
Anyone can play as a guest. Accounts are for players aged 16 or older; younger players need a parent's or guardian's permission, and the parent or guardian accepts these terms for them.
YOUR ACCOUNT
- One account is for one person. Keep your password secret - you are responsible for what is done with your account. If you think someone else has it, change your password (FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD?) and tell us.
- Your name is shown to everyone. Don't pick a name that is offensive, hateful or sexual, that pretends to be someone else (another player, a real person, the game's staff), or that contains someone's personal details. We may rename or remove such accounts.
- You can delete your account at any time - see Delete your account.
FAIR PLAY
Not allowed:
- cheating of any kind - changed or automated game clients, bots, scripts, macros that drive for you, tampering with laps or results, or using bugs to gain an advantage (please tell us about bugs instead);
- getting around a kick, a mute or a ban, or making accounts to manipulate the records or the ranked tables;
- attacking, overloading or trying to break into the game, its server or other players' accounts.
Every time trial lap is checked by our server before it counts; laps that don't pass are not saved.
CHAT AND BEHAVIOUR
Be decent to the other players. In the chat, in names and in races, don't harass, threaten, insult or bully anyone; no hate speech, no sexual content, no spam or advertising, no sharing anyone's personal details, and nothing illegal. Don't crash into others on purpose or drive the wrong way to ruin their race. Room hosts can remove players from their room; we can mute or remove players too.
WHAT WE CAN DO
If you break these terms, we may - depending on how serious it is - warn you, mute you, remove your laps or results, or suspend or delete your account, without notice where needed to protect the game or other players. If you think we got it wrong, write to us.
THE GAME
- Simple Racer is free. We may change, add or remove things - circuits, modes, rules, rankings - and we may reset the ranked seasons (they reset monthly) or, rarely, records, for example after a change to the physics.
- We try to keep the game running, but it may be down at times, and we may end it one day. If we do, we will say so in the game in advance where we can.
- The game, its graphics, sounds, code and name belong to us. You may play it, and you may share videos and pictures of your races. You may not copy, sell or redistribute the game or its parts.
- What you type in the game (your name, chat messages) stays yours; you let us show it to other players and use it as needed to run the game.
NO WARRANTY, LIMITED LIABILITY
The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost progress, records or data. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer, or liability that can't be limited by law (for example for intent or gross negligence).
APP STORES
If you got Simple Racer from an app store (Apple App Store, Google Play, Steam), that store's own terms apply as well. The store is not responsible for the game or for support - we are.
CHANGES AND LAW
We may update these terms; the new version will be on this page with a new date, and important changes will also be shown in the game. Playing after a change means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia; the courts in Novi Sad have jurisdiction. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country and can use its courts.
